YZU students get second prize in National Intercollegiate Open Source Software Competition.

Directed by by assistant Professor Bo-Hao Chen (陳柏豪), Yuan Ze University students, Ruo-Lan Guan (管若嵐) and Zi-Xuan Peng (彭梓瑄), developed a crowdsourcing systems to monitor road density & quality, and clinch the second prize of NT$ 30,000 in 2018 National Intercollegiate Open Source Software Competition.

The team used crowdsourcing structure and installed dashboard camera on a large number of cars to collect instant information from streaming video on the road. They use AI to auto-analyze all the data and apply visualizer markers on the situation of damaged road surface.
