NoticeElectrical Safety and Other Precautions for School Laboratories

Description:

  1. Statistics show that nearly 50% of laboratory fires in colleges and universities are caused by electrical fires. The primary causes include circuit or electrical equipment overload, short circuits, and poor connections, which generate excessive heat and lead to fires.

  1. To prevent fire incidents caused by electrical factors, laboratories should evaluate electrical equipment and wiring that have exceeded their service life. If replacement is necessary, it should be carried out, and regular maintenance should be conducted. Additionally, training on the operation of electrical equipment and emergency response should be strengthened for relevant personnel to prevent fires and reduce the risk of injuries or fatalities.

  1. Laboratories must be used solely for their intended purposes and are prohibited from engaging in activities unrelated to laboratory operations. The use of personal high-power electrical appliances is strictly forbidden to avoid excessive current that may exceed load capacity, causing overheating of electrical wires and increasing the risk of fire.
