EMI Teaching Assistant Training Program for Spring Semester 2026 Organized by Our Bilingual Education Resource Center – Invitation for Student Participation

Description:

1. To enhance student learning outcomes in EMI courses and strengthen the competencies of teaching assistants, the Bilingual Education Resource Center of National Sun Yat-sen University will organize an EMI Teaching Assistant (TA) Training Program. Instructors from the Foundation for Scholarly Exchange (FSE) are invited to deliver two courses: Classroom Language (including pronunciation) and Intercultural Communication.

2. To facilitate face-to-face interaction and engagement, this semester’s EMI TA training will be conducted in person only. Details are as follows:
   (1) Date and Time:
     a. Session 1: March 30 (Mon), 2026, 13:10–17:00
     b. Session 2: April 1 (Wed), 2026, 13:10–17:00
   (2) Venue: 11F, Library and Information Building, National Sun Yat-sen University
   (3) Eligibility: Priority will be given to students currently serving as EMI course teaching assistants who have not yet obtained EMI TA certification. Each session is limited to 70 participants.

3. The program is open to students from universities nationwide; however, recognition of this training will be subject to each institution’s EMI TA training regulations.
