YZU hold SHINJINSEN 2018 in Taiwan and Far Eastern Lecture

Shinjinsen (Asian Architecture Rookie Awards), in cooperation with a group of renowned Japanese architects Youngil Lee, Norihiko Dan and Shuei Endo, is a competition for architectural students in the first three years. In 2012, the contest opened to the rest of Asia, and Taiwan has been invited to participate since 2014. The 7th Asian Contest of Architectural Rookie’s Award” was going to be held in Taiwan by Far Eastern Y. Z. Hsu Science and Technology Memorial Foundation and Dep. Art and Design of Yuan Ze University and there were 20 competitors from 13 countries such as Taiwan, Japan and Korea taking part in the contest.

YZU held Master Lecture including Norihiko Dan’s speech about Philosophy of Symbiotic Architecture on Nov.1 and the contest presentation to jurors and exhibition in public on Nov.2. YZU students fully supported the whole event and prepared music performances in the evening banquet. The organizer also invited Taiwanese innovative architect Arthur Huang as keynote speaker of Far Eastern Lecture with others architects Roan, Ching-Yueh and Dan, Norihiko on Nov. 3.
