Yuan Ze University Won 5 Gold, 1 Silver, and 5 Bronze Medals at the National University and College Faculty Bowling Tournament

The 2025 National University and College Faculty Bowling Championship was held from August 23 to 25 at the Zhongli Asian Games Bowling Center. Faculty and staff teams from 14 universities across Taiwan gathered for three days of intense competition. Under the leadership of coach Shuzhen Chen, Yuan Ze University’s team delivered an outstanding performance, taking home 5 gold, 1 silver, and 5 bronze medals, once again demonstrating the team’s determination and fighting spirit.

In the women’s open division, Yuan Ze’s players achieved remarkable results. Xiuyun Huang, Xinyi Zhuang, and Shuzhen Chen captured first, third, and fourth place respectively in the individual event, with the three sweeping the overall top three positions and showcasing their dominant strength. In the doubles event, Shuzhen Chen and Xinyi Zhuang successfully defended their title to win gold once again, while Xiuyun Huang and Yanhua Sun placed third. In the masters event, Shuzhen Chen added another gold medal with her steady performance.

In the men’s division, Wengui Wang finished sixth in the individual event, while Zhengda Huang earned eighth in the individual event, fourth in the all-events, and third in the masters event. Together, Wang and Huang placed fifth in the doubles event. In the senior men’s division, Junfang Wu also performed well, finishing sixth in the individual event, fifth in the all-events, and third in the masters event.

The team event was another highlight of the competition. Yuan Ze University’s representatives — Shuzhen Chen, Xinyi Zhuang, Xiuyun Huang, Yanhua Sun, Xinhui Huang, and Jiamin You — combined their skills and teamwork to claim the championship title, adding further glory to the university.

Throughout the tournament, every strike and every determined throw reflected the fighting spirit and unity of Yuan Ze’s faculty and staff. The university noted that this competition was not only a test of technical skill but also a valuable opportunity for colleagues to support one another and spend meaningful time together.
