The Executive Master of Business Administration Program, College of Management at Yuan Ze University, held its grand 30th anniversary celebration, themed “30E Reunion・E Together for Excellence,” on September 27 at the Yuan Ze University campus. The event brought together more than 350 participants, including faculty members, alumni, and representatives from industry, government, and academia, to commemorate three decades of remarkable achievements and the enduring legacy of the Yuan Ze EMBA.
The celebration opened at the You-Xiang Hall in Building 6 with the premiere of “Evolution – Yuan Ze University 30th Anniversary Image Video.” The Qing Yun Folk Choir followed with heartfelt renditions of classic songs such as “Breeze of the Past,” “Field of Dreams,” and “Grandma’s Penghu Bay,” evoking nostalgic memories among alumni and creating a warm and joyful atmosphere. All proceeds from the performance were donated to charity, reflecting the spirit of social responsibility embraced by the Yuan Ze community. Meanwhile, the 30th Anniversary Exhibition showcased the vibrant history of EMBA classes and the outstanding accomplishments of alumni, drawing enthusiastic crowds.
In his speech, President Ching-Jung Liao praised the College of Management for its foresight and courage in pioneering Taiwan’s EMBA education model, establishing a benchmark for professional graduate programs. Dean Min-Ping Huang recalled the challenges faced by the founding director, Ke-Qiang You, during the program’s early days and expressed hopes for continued innovation and excellence in the decades ahead.
EMBA Executive Director Huai-Chun Lo reflected on the program’s journey, which began in 1995 with only eight working professionals offering suggestions for its establishment. The following year, in 1996, Yuan Ze officially launched Taiwan’s first EMBA class. Over the years, the program expanded to include a Taipei class and an overseas class in Vietnam, and also established alumni organizations such as the Business Management Elite Association, Yuan Ze EMBA Fellowship Association, and Yuan Ze EMBA Alumni Association, fostering a strong sense of connection among generations of graduates. He expressed sincere gratitude to former executive directors, faculty members, and all alumni whose dedication and support built the program’s lasting success.
During the ceremony, Huai-Chun Lo also recognized several distinguished alumni for their professional achievements, including Nai-Di Yeh (Class of 1991, ICP DAS), Sheng-Ming Huang (Class of 2013, Dexin Furniture), Yao-Hsing Yu (Class of 2016, Yao-Hsing Technology), Yung-Hsu Yang (Class of 2017, Sintong Electric), and Hung-Yuan Lin (Class of 2018, Jiefeng Technology). Their success stories stood as powerful testaments to the value and influence of the Yuan Ze EMBA network.
Former EMBA Executive Directors Yang-Bin Shen, Po-Chien Lee, Chih-Hung Hsieh, and Yu-Yang Lu were invited to share their experiences leading the program, while senior professors Chia-Hsiang Chen, Shu-Ling Liao, Chien-Te Ho, Min-Ping Huang, Fang-Mei Tseng, and Heng-Yi Liu reminisced about memorable teaching moments and the transformative impact of EMBA education. Many expressed heartfelt sentiments, quoting, “Plant blessings to reap blessings, plant dreams to fulfill dreams — blessings realized through the heart.” In appreciation of their long-standing dedication, the EMBA program presented each faculty member with a commemorative glass artwork.
In the evening, the “30E Reunion・Night of Glory” dinner was held at the Platinum Banquet Hall in Taoyuan, with 34 tables and 350 attendees, including alumni, faculty, and new students from the Class of 2025. The event featured the welcoming of new members and a leadership handover ceremony for the EMBA Fellowship Association, creating touching scenes of generational continuity and shared pride.
Looking ahead, Yuan Ze EMBA is committed to further strengthening its ESG and sustainability management curriculum, enhancing digital transformation and AI applications, and expanding its international collaboration network. The College of Management also launched the Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) program, providing senior executives with an advanced research platform to cultivate globally competitive leaders.
Executive Director Huai-Chun Lo emphasized, “At thirty, we stand firm — ready to embrace the challenges of AI, sustainability, and globalization with greater maturity and confidence.” He reaffirmed that the Yuan Ze EMBA will continue to serve as a platform for lifelong learning, a catalyst for industry innovation, a cradle for leadership development, and an enduring home for alumni connections — inviting more professionals to join in shaping the next 30 years of excellence together.
