Regulations for Hanging Banners and Flags on Campus

  • To hang event banners or flags on campus, please submit a venue request through the Portal and proceed only after approval. Any unapproved flags will be removed.

  • Approved areas for hanging flags include: the pedestrian path at the main gate, the campus ring road, the central walkway in front of Building I, the red-brick walkway between Buildings II and III, and the roundabout in front of Building V.

  • There must be at least two trees of spacing between any two flags. Each event may hang no more than 30 flags on campus.

  • Hanging horizontal banners or fabric flags is strictly prohibited along the green boulevard between the main gate and Building I.

  • Do not use adhesive tape to affix flags to lamp posts. If paint damage occurs, the organizing unit will be responsible for repainting costs.

  • No promotional posters, flags, or items may be placed on or around the Thinking Stone (Dinosaur Egg).

  • In case of a typhoon, please remove all flags in advance. Any flags scattered or damaged after the storm will be cleared by maintenance staff, and the Office of General Affairs will not be responsible for their return.
