YZU students win the prize in the open source software competition

YZU Computer Science and Engineering students won the best industrial application award in 2017 National Intercollegiate Open Source Software Competition. Cooperating with NARLabs and National Museum of Marine Science & Technology, the team included two students, Yu Chen Lin (林毓宸) & Yaxin Yao (姚雅馨), and instructed by Prof. I-Cheng Yeh. They developed an application to analyze visitors in the museum, which has won the prize with NTD 30,000.

Prof. Yeh said this work is to support the museum or exhibition space to track, record, and analyze the data of visitors’ behavior by computer vision and AI technology. It will help organizers further observe visitors and their reaction.
