The Parking Fee Standards for Vehicles on the Yuan Ze University Headquarters

 

Automobile Access

  • Campus access for automobiles uses license plate recognition and timed fee collection. The fee standard is set separately.
  • Those eligible for preferential access: Full-time faculty/staff and on-campus business operators may apply for parking permits for up to two vehicles. All other individuals are limited to one parking permit.
  • Vehicles with preferential access may park in the A-Zone parking lot located to the left of the campus entrance (hereinafter referred to as the A-Zone parking lot) without additional hourly charges.
  • General students' cars are limited to the A-Zone parking lot ; entry into the main campus is subject to the hourly parking rate. Application for Vehicle Parking Discount Pass
  • Clearly marked official mission vehicles (e.g., postal vans, telecommunications repair vehicles, fire trucks, ambulances, police cars, garbage trucks, cleaning vehicles, Taiwan Power Company service vehicles, courier trucks, and engineering vehicles) are exempt from parking fees after verification by gate security.
  • Special vehicles may park at work sites during their operation period, provided they do not obstruct traffic, and are not restricted to designated parking spaces or locations.
  • Underground parking in YZU Buildings 6 and 7 is reserved for faculty and staff vehicles, while delivery vehicles may park temporarily for unloading. Dormitory 3 underground parking is for faculty, staff, and on-campus business operators only.
  • Vehicles parked in designated spaces (e.g., accessible parking or other reserved spots) must display relevant permits or proof in a clearly visible location.

Motorcycle Access

  • Except for motorcycles (including electric) with a valid permit issued for the current academic year, other motorcycles may not enter the campus but can be parked in the motorcycle parking lot.
  • Motorcycles with obvious external markings or missions, such as those for newspaper/Food/mail delivery, police/military duty, those for persons with mobility issues/ emergency repair project:, or those with temporary permits, may be allowed to enter the campus.
  • Food delivery motorcycles must adhere to campus-designated delivery times, routes, and locations and are limited to a 30-minute stay within the campus. Management Measures for Food Delivery Motorcycles Entering campus

Bicycle and Scooter Management

  • Bicycles entering the campus must be neatly parked in designated sheds or racks.
  • Riding bicycles or (electric) scooters must follow general traffic safety rules. Riders must be dismounted and walked on downhill pedestrian pathways. Riding against traffic or downhill speeding is prohibited.

Electric-assisted Vehicle Management

  • Electric-assisted vehicles with government-issued license plates shall be handled in accordance with the relevant regulations for automobiles and motorcycles.
  • Vehicles similar in appearance to an ordinary bicycle (with pedals and chains that can be powered by human force) are managed in accordance with the relevant regulations for bicycles; those similar to an ordinary motorcycle (without pedals and chains that can be powered by human force) are managed in accordance with the relevant regulations for motorcycles.

  • YZU provides parking spaces (including motorcycle parking areas) but is not responsible for vehicle custody, loss, or damage.
