YZU Cloud-based Video System makes a quick police report

The system developed by Professor Chi-Fang Lin (林啟芳) of YZU Information Engineering offers a cloud-based video dispatching and a platform of the information storing. When the mobile app records real-time video and sends in the video streaming format to the cloud server, the website platform can play and save the video simultaneously. The system not only prevents people from filing false reports because of a slip of the tongue but also police force can track all the reports more efficiently without ignoring reports.

Professor Lin and his team including Ph.D. candidate Yang-Cheng Chang (張揚政), graduate student Wei-Yu Chen (陳威宇), and Yu-Ming Hung (洪鈺敏) and Chi-Hsiang Wang (王麒翔) in the undergraduate program. The system connects with the 1999 Taipei City service hotline, offering clear real-time video in streaming technology for recording police reports given by people.
