Microsoft 365 Education Edition Storage Space Change Notification (Source: Microsoft Official Announcement):

1. Starting from February 1, 2023, Microsoft will limit each user to 100 GB of OneDrive storage space.
2. Starting from August 1, 2023, Microsoft will significantly reduce the total storage space for schools to 100 TB, including OneDrive, SharePoint (Teams), and Exchange (Email).

To address the changes in Microsoft 365 Education Edition storage space, please comply with the following:

1. Due to Microsoft providing only 100 TB of total storage space for schools, in order to effectively allocate storage space for each user and service, we will not be providing 100 GB of OneDrive storage space for each individual.
2. If your OneDrive space exceeds 100GB, it is recommended that all faculty, staff, and students promptly back up and download data, and release space on the cloud by January 31, 2024, to avoid potential disruptions to account usage in the future.
3. At this stage, accounts, files, and emails will not be deleted proactively, but it is crucial to independently backup relevant data. We do not assume responsibility for providing backup or data retention services. A future evaluation will be conducted based on the total number of school users and the available storage space, and further announcements will be made at that time.
