To promote talent exchange and research collaboration between Taiwan and Canada, the National Applied Research Laboratories (NARLabs) and Mitacs Canada are jointly organizing the 2026 Globalink Research Internship (GRI). Applications will open in August 2025. Selected candidates will have the opportunity to undertake a 12-week research internship in Canada between May and October 2026.

Internship Duration: Approximately 3 months (12 weeks) between May and October 2026 at a Canadian research institution

Eligibility: Applicants must be Republic of China (Taiwan) nationals currently enrolled as undergraduate students in their third year or above (including students moving from second to third year) at a university or college in Taiwan. Applicants must maintain full-time student status during both the application and internship periods.

Funding: Up to CAD 12,000, covering living expenses, accommodation, insurance, training, and administrative costs. Taxes will be deducted according to the policies of the host institution.

Additional Support from NSTC (Taiwan’s National Science and Technology Council): A supplementary internship scholarship of NTD 30,000 per person
