Research Achievements and Future Development
With the concerted efforts of faculty, staff, and students, Yuan Ze University has achieved outstanding results in research and development. The University ranks among the top private institutions in Taiwan in terms of average research project funding, project volume per faculty member, and the number of published papers. In some fields, YZU has even outperformed long-established national universities.
Looking back and moving forward, Yuan Ze’s research development will continue to advance in the following directions:
-
Building a Barrier-Free Research Environment
In addition to supporting departments and colleges in establishing advanced research infrastructure, we are streamlining administrative processes and offering strong incentives and subsidy programs to facilitate faculty research projects. -
Promoting Industry-Academia Collaboration
We aim to form strategic R&D alliances with national research institutions, the Far Eastern Group, and major industry partners. This includes planning joint research projects, professional internship programs, and industry-focused academic curricula. -
Encouraging the Formation of Research Teams
By integrating internal resources and concentrating research strengths, we will establish distinctive research teams that can effectively compete for external funding and support. -
Expanding International Academic Exchange
We actively support faculty participation in international conferences, academic visits abroad, and the organization of international symposiums. YZU also welcomes renowned global scholars for full-time or short-term teaching engagements.
YZU’s future depends on the continued dedication of all members of the university. Our vision is to become a new model of Asian university characterized by humanism, internationalization, digital advancement, practical application, and regional relevance. We aim to become a benchmark university for industry-academia collaboration—playing a key role in applied technology R&D, facilitating faculty development and shared achievements, and serving as a driving force for regional and national innovation.
