【Internship Recruitment】New Taipei City Government Youth Guidance Committee Internship Program for College and University Students

Program Objectives:

  • To pass on the values and principles of social work.

  • To provide internship opportunities and assist schools in cultivating professional talent.

  • To help students integrate theoretical knowledge with practical work skills.

  • To increase students' understanding and awareness of juvenile crime prevention.

  • To train professionals in youth crime prevention and guidance.

 

Eligibility:

  • Current third-year or above students in social work or related departments at colleges or universities.

  • Applicants must have completed the following courses: Introduction to Social Work, Social Casework, Social Group Work, Community Work (or related courses), Human Behavior and the Social Environment, and at least one course related to youth (such as Youth Social Work, Child and Youth Welfare Services, Adolescent Psychology, Juvenile Delinquency and Criminal Justice, Correctional Social Work, etc.), for a total of at least six courses.

 

Application and Internship Periods:

This program will begin in 2026. Applicants should apply according to the following internship sessions. Each person is limited to one session and cannot submit multiple applications. The application deadline is based on the date announced on the official website and determined by the postmark.

  • Fall Semester (September to January of the following year) - Apply in June.

  • Spring Semester (February to June) - Apply in October.

  • Summer Break (July to August) - Apply in April.

 

Internship Hours:

A minimum of 200 hours, or as required by your school.

 

Recruitment:

1 intern.

 

Internship Content:

  • Understand the committee's administrative system and relevant legal regulations.

  • Learn about the committee's organization, functions, service philosophy, and various operations, and participate in related tasks (including meetings, seminars, community work, and library inventory/organization).

  • Inventory various resources in New Taipei City.

  • Become familiar with the characteristics and culture of the committee's service demographic, learn and apply professional knowledge related to youth social work and crime prevention, observe the characteristics of crime in the service area, and participate in promotional work, program design, and group counseling activities.

  • Other duties assigned by the supervisor.
