As the central competent authority for forestry and nature conservation in Taiwan, the Forestry and Nature Conservation Agency (FANCA) operates through its 8 Regional Branches, the Aerial Survey and Remote Sensing Branch, and the Alishan Forest Railway and Cultural Heritage Office. To help university students interested in forestry and conservation understand government operations and daily tasks, we offer summer internship opportunities across our agency and its subordinate institutions.
Instructions:
The internship is open to students of all majors, provided they meet the specific qualifications or conditions set by each hosting unit. Interested students must submit their resumes and summary tables through their respective departments to the relevant FANCA internship units for review by April 20, 2026. FANCA and its subordinate agencies will notify universities of the admission results and check-in details by May 29, 2026. Admitted students should then report for their internship at the designated time and location.

Internship Requirements and Regulations:

Schedule: The 2026 summer internship generally runs from July 1 to August 31, subject to the specific planning of each hosting unit.

Attendance: Leave of absence must not exceed one-tenth of the total internship days; exceeding this limit will result in disqualification. Scheduling of leave or adjustments shall be managed by individual mentors. Unexcused absences or withdrawing after the internship has started may negatively impact your university's future internship application opportunities.

Nature of Internship: This is a learning-oriented program designed to provide insight into civil service affairs; therefore, no internship allowance is provided.

Logistics: Interns are responsible for their own meals, transportation, and accommodation. If a hosting unit provides dormitory space, a request must be submitted at the time of application (please refer to the specific internship project details).

Insurance: Insurance during the internship follows the regulations of the student's respective department. Generally, universities assist students with insurance; if not, the hosting agency will provide coverage.
