International Academy

Since 2017, various colleges in Yuan Ze University have established English bachelor programs (EBPs) to cultivate talents equipped with professional knowledge and foreign language skills. To expand and enhance the EBPs of each college, the International Academy (IA) was established in 2022 to integrate these programs. Our main goal is to form the foundation for creating global talents, turning YZU into a model university for professional bilingual education.

College of Engineering

The College of Engineering of Yuan Ze University (YZU) is devoted to educating and preparing graduates for leadership in industry, government, and educational institutions; advancing the knowledge base of the engineering professions; and influencing the future direction of engineering education and practice.

College of Informatics

The college of informatics combines important research, teaching, and application in the following fields of study. Information software, information hardware, information management, and information communication are areas of interest in evaluating our information society’s problem and solution. The college of informatics resembles a well maintained machine that requires many delicate components to work together in order to achieve optimal performance.

College of Management

A New Era for Management Education in Taiwan
We have set our sights on becoming an innovation hub, and are seeking to actively contribute to developing application-oriented research and furthering collaboration across disciplines, institutions and countries. Innovation has been a key tool in helping us meet the diverse challenges of the current uncertain environment in higher education. We have developed fresh strategies for recruiting students by acting as a bridge between the industry and the university in order to facilitate collaboration, advance cutting-edge research and equip students with management skills. We are training our students not only to be successful in variety of fields, but to be the next generation of leaders.

College of Humanities and Social Sciences

Founded in 1997, the College of Humanities and Social Sciences (CHSS) is the youngest division of Yuan Ze University. The Faculty of CHSS is dedicated to being at the forefront of teaching and learning and fostering cutting edge research and discovery in Chinese and Japan literature and linguistics, arts and design, as well as social and policy sciences. CHSS is redefining humanities and social sciences’ education for the 21st century and is committed to an open CHSS accessible to students from all backgrounds.

The tasks of CHSS faculty are devoted to cultivating students’ academic excellence, personality integration, cultural creativity and cultural industrial and policy manager, including undergraduate and graduate admissions. Currently CHSS comprises 4 departments, a center, a Ph.D. program, and an international program. The key visions of CHSS education are:

  • To cultivate talented students specializing in multi-culturalism, arts design and cultural creative industries and policy.
  • To train students to have academic excellence, community concern, and global mobility via well-designed courses program in humanities and social sciences.

College of Electrical and Communication Engineering

In 2005, in order to integrate electrical and communication engineering, and promote mutual supports and applications of resources with Far Eastern Group (FEG), Far EasTone Telecommunications Co., Ltd. (FET) donated NT$500 million for constructing the Far Eastern Yu-Ziang Telecommunication Building (Yuan Ze Building 7). We expect that the construction of the Building would enhance the research resources and make a breakthrough in electrical and communication engineering, which would promote research ethos and excellence. The College of Electrical and Communication Engineering was established in 2006 with the approval of the Ministry of Education. Currently, the College includes the Department of Electrical Engineering (Group A, B, and C with five classes) and an International Program for Bachelor. Each Group offers master and doctor programs in Electrical Engineering with total fifty full-time faculty of Ph.D. including many senior and honorary professors.

College of Medicine and Nursing

We aim to nurture interdisciplinary talents needed for the new generation of the medical industry, contributing to the development of smart healthcare and the overall enhancement of medical quality. The College of Medicine and Nursing currently offers a Bachelor's program in Nursing and a Master's program in Medical Research, both currently accepting admissions. In the future, we will continue to establish additional departments and research institutes related to medical care, gradually building a comprehensive education system in medicine and nursing. Our goal is to lead and inspire interdisciplinary thinking in intelligent technology, applying smart healthcare to the concept of holistic care in the new era of the College of Medicine and Nursing.

School of Lifelong Education

Since its establishment in 1997, the School of Lifelong Education at Yuan Ze University has been committed to providing high-quality learning opportunities and resources. By establishing a diversified training system and innovative teaching methods, the department actively seeks to introduce various external training resources to enrich the comprehensive knowledge and skills of learners, enhance their employability, and contribute to the regional economic development and prosperity. The department also promotes lifelong learning, offering a wide range of learning opportunities for individuals of all ages to achieve their dreams and aspirations.

  • Mandarin Learning Center

    The Mandarin Learning Center is a subsidiary of the School Lifelong Education at Yuan Ze University. In 2023, the MLC opened its doors to teach Mandarin as a foreign language to local foreigners. YZU's Mandarin Learning Center in Taoyuan City welcomes students from all over the world to study Mandarin Chinese in a friendly and comfortable environment. The Mandarin program at MLC has four levels to meet the needs of a wide range of learners. In addition to learning Mandarin effectively, our students will also learn about traditional Chinese culture and customs to enrich multicultural literacy.
