I. What are the standards of staff’s salary? (person in charge: Ms Hui-Zhen Feng ext.2040)

Please refer to “YZU Regulations of Salary Assessment for Faculties And Staffs” and “YZU Working Payment Standards for Contract-based Staffs”.

II. When is the scheduled date for transferring the salary? (person in charge: Ms Ms Hui-Zhen Feng ext.2040)

The scheduled date for transferring the salary is specified as follows:

Eligibility: Full-time faculties, staffs, contract-based staffs paid from the personnel allowance

Schedule: The salary will be transferred into the account of Far Eastern International Bank on the 15th of each month. If the staff begins service at the beginning dates of the month, his/her salary of both that month and the next month will be transferred into the account on the fifteenth of next month.

Case 1: A staff serves for all the month of August: his/her salary will be transferred into the account on the day of August 15th.

Case 2: A staff begins the service on November 8th: his/her salary will be transferred into the account on the day of December 15th. The salary includes the pay from November 8th to 30th and one-month pay of December.

III. What are the regulations for the additional pay of a director with two concurrent administrative positions? (person in charge: Ms Hui-Zhen Feng  ext.2040)

The directors with two concurrent administrative positions shall be paid for only one additional pay, except for those who are concurrent directors of two-year junior college (nighttime school).

Case 1: A full-time faculty who has concurrent positions as a college dean and a department chairman as well shall choose only one additional pay of being a college dean (the pay which is higher).

Case 2: A full-time faculty who has concurrent positions as a department chairman and a department chairman of two-year junior college as well shall get both the additional pays for being a department chairman and a department chairman of two-year junior college as well.

Case 3: A full-time faculty who has concurrent positions as a college dean, a department chairman and a department chairman of two-year junior college shall get both the additional pays for being a college dean and a department chairman of two-year junior college as well.

IV. What are the standards for school’s year-end bonus? (person in charge: Ms Hui-Zhen Feng ext.2040)

1. The matters of year-end bonus are processed according to “Notice of The Grant of Year-end Bonus (consolation grant) for Civil Servants” issued by Executive Yuan. Ministry of Education will notify all the private universities/institutes of the grant of year-end bonus through official documents around the time before each Chinese New Year.

2. The receivers of granted year-end bonus: Faculties and staffs who begin their service before January 31st and are still in service after December 1st shall be granted for a bonus of 1.5 times the salary of a month. Faculties and staffs who begin their service after Februaruy1st and are still in service after December 1st shall be granted for a bonus of the proportion of actual in-service months. (Here are some examples for reference: Those who begin their service in November shall be granted for a bonus of two-twelfths of the regulated standard. Those who begin their service in July shall be granted for a bonus of six-twelfths of the regulated standard. Those who begin their service in December shall be granted for a bonus of one-twelfth of the regulated standard.)

3. The standard of granted amount of bonus is based on the salary of December.

4. If a staff who serves as an assistant of ‘Top University and Elite Research Center Development Plan’ beginning from January, resigning at the end of June and serve as a contract-based staff beginning from July, the bonus of this staff is based on his/her salary of December with six-twelfths of the regulated standard.

5. The year-end bonus of personnel of Top University and Elite Research Center Development Plan is offered by the authorized office. Its procedure is also based on the notice issued by Ministry of Education. If an assistant of Top University and Elite Research Center Development Plan doesn’t begin service on December 1st, he/she can’t receive the bonus as regulated.
