Founded in 1989, the Department of Industrial Engineering and Management (IEM) at Yuan Ze University is one of Taiwan's leading departments in the field. The department currently offers bachelor's, master's, doctoral, and in-service master's degree programs. In 2020, all four programs successfully received six-year accreditation from the Institute of Engineering Education Taiwan (IEET). We welcome applicants who are passionate about teaching, research, and academic service to join our team.

Qualifications

  • Ph.D. degree recognized by Taiwan's Ministry of Education in Industrial Engineering, Computer Science/Engineering, Management, Mathematics, or a related field from a domestic or international institution.
  • Excellent research performance.
  • Enthusiasm for teaching and service, strong teamwork, and collaborative skills.
  • Expertise in smart manufacturing, computer engineering, information technology, data science, service science management, production and supply chain management, statistics and quality management, or other Industrial Engineering and Management-related fields.
  • International applicants are encouraged to apply.
  • Ability to teach undergraduate and graduate courses in both Chinese and English.

  2. Personal autobiography.
  3. Statement of research and teaching interests, including research interests, research projects, teaching plans, and future research directions.
  4. Copy of the highest degree certificate. Applicants holding foreign degrees must provide a diploma verified by a Republic of China (Taiwan) overseas representative office. Applicants who have not yet graduated may submit a certification from their academic advisor indicating the expected graduation date.
  5. Copy of the highest degree transcript. Foreign transcripts must be verified by a Republic of China (Taiwan) overseas representative office.
  6. Copy of the teacher certificate for the current academic rank (if available).
  7. Copies and list of publications (including patents) published within the past five years, with publication sources indicated.

Additional Notes

  1. Applicants who pass the preliminary review will be invited for an interview. The interview will be conducted in English and recorded.
