Library Energy-Saving Measures

Save Energy, Reduce Carbon Emissions— Lets Build a Sustainable Campus Together

1.    Computer and Equipment Usage Management

  • Public computers are set to automatically power on/off according to the library’s opening and closing hours.
  • During summer break, only the 1st-floor copy room remains open; B1 and 2nd-floor copy rooms are closed to reduce standby power consumption.

2.    Lighting – Adjusted Based on Weather Brightness

  • During the semester: Lighting on all library floors adopts a two-stage energy-saving mode.
  • During summer break: Unlit areas are expanded to reduce electricity used for lighting.

3.    Air Conditioning – Adjusted Based on Weather Temperature

  • Old Building 1F 2F B1F:
    • During the semester: Only partial A/C units are turned on to reduce cooling usage.
    • During summer break: A/C usage is further reduced.
  • New Building 1F 2F B1F:
    • During the semester: A/C temperature is set between 26°C–28°C.
    • During summer break: Only partial A/C units are used. B1 and 2F copy room air conditioning is turned off.

4.    Adjusted Summer Opening Hours--Monday to Friday: 9:00 AM – 4:30 PM

If study space is needed during closing hours, you may use on-campus study rooms (refer to their respective schedules).
