Turnitin Update: Login Interface, Course Enrollment Key, and Student Registration Process Changes

To enhance system security and improve the user experience, Turnitin has updated its user login interface and student account registration process. The key changes are summarized below:

  • Effective immediately, all users (administrators, instructors, and students) should access Turnitin through home.turnitin.com.
  • The student account creation and course enrollment processes have been updated.
  • To allow students to join an existing course, instructors must enable"Allow students to self-enroll in this course" in the course settings and generate a new Course Enrollment Key for student use.
  • Course Enrollment Keys are valid for 14 days. If a new key is generated, the previous key will immediately become invalid; however, this will not affect students who have already enrolled in the course.
  • Accounts with Library Administrator privileges are required to complete One-Time Password (OTP) verification when signing in. The login process and user experience for instructor and student accounts remain unchanged.
