I. Application Period:

  • Application system open from February 26th to March 25th (https://cipgrant.fju.edu.tw/)

  • Submission to the original resource center until March 26th (Tuesday) at 12:00 PM (Activity Center 2nd Floor R8203)

II. Required Documents:

  • Submit all documents to the Life Counseling Division on the 2nd floor of the Activity Center

  • Application form (print and sign after online application)

  • "Original paper transcript" for the 112-1 semester (must include class size and class ranking; photocopies or screenshots of transcripts are not accepted)

III. Eligibility Criteria:

  • Students with academic scores of 70 or above in the previous semester may apply for scholarships (NT$32,000).

  • Students with academic scores of 60 or above in the previous semester, or those of Amis ethnicity registered in Taitung Lanyu Township, may apply for general financial aid (NT$20,000).

  • Students from middle to low-income households with academic scores of 60 or above in the previous semester may apply for middle to low-income household financial aid (NT$20,000).

  • Students from low-income households with academic scores of 60 or above in the previous semester may apply for low-income household financial aid (NT$30,000).

IV. Responsibilities of Scholarship Recipients:

  • Scholarship recipients must fulfill 48 hours of community service learning per semester. The following situations qualify for reductions:

    • Full exemption for passing advanced indigenous language proficiency certification.

    • For each credit passed in indigenous language courses in the previous semester, 18 hours can be reduced.

    • Participation in school-sponsored speeches and seminars, with reductions based on participation hours, capped at 20 hours maximum.

    • Achieving a class ranking within the top 30% in the previous semester, which qualifies for a reduction of 15 hours.

    Community service learning refers to assisting in school administrative tasks or tribal services.

Note:

  • Students who are delayed graduates, postgraduates, or recipients of public funding are not eligible to apply for scholarships from the Indigenous Peoples Commission. If you have any questions, please inquire at the original resource center.

Mingxin University of Science and Technology held the Atayal Traditional Bamboo Building Restoration Talent Cultivation Program Exchange Symposium and Achievement Record Presentation Meeting.

Note: 
1. The event is to hold the closing certificate and trophy presentation ceremony of the Atayal Traditional Bamboo Building Restoration Talent Cultivation Program and the achievements of the Atayal Traditional Architecture Knowledge with Innovative Technology.

Taoyuan Municipal Government encourages indigenous people to participate in the Aboriginal Language Proficiency Certification 

Award Description:

1. Handled in accordance with the "Taoyuan Municipal Government Encourages Aboriginal Peoples to Participate in the Aboriginal Language Proficiency Certification Test Award Points".

2. Award targets:
(1) Indigenous students who have been resident in the city for more than four months, have indigenous identity as indigenous people, have passed the indigenous language proficiency test (hereinafter referred to as ethnic language certification), and are enrolled in domestic public (private) national primary and secondary schools, high schools (vocational) and colleges and universities.
(2) Ordinary people who have been registered in the city for more than four months, have indigenous status, have passed the certification of participating ethnic languages, and are not previously revealed students.

3. Application Period and Procedures
(1) Application deadline:April 1st to April 30th
(2) Place of application: 
1. Students:Apply to the school they are studying.
2. General public: apply to the district office where the household registration is located.

4. The circumstances under which the award will not be awarded are as follows:
(1) For the same level of certification, there have been subsidies or awards.
(2) Have passed a higher level of certification and apply for awards with a lower level of certification.
(3) Have received awards or subsidies of the same nature from other organs.

National Taiwan University of the Arts Administered the Ministry of Education's "112th MATA Awards: Ten Years of Beautiful Blaq Balay 112 Years of Aboriginal Theme Video and Film Planning Competition for College and High School Vocational Students"

Note:
In order to promote indigenous education and deepen students' understanding, respect and recognition of indigenous history and culture, the MATA Award Competition is specially organized; This year's competition continues to encourage college students to use video storytelling to present their exploration and care for the history, culture, language and life stories of indigenous peoples.
Competition Methods
1.Title of the work:
Named by the participants, but the content must cover indigenous languages, history and culture, life, education, urban indigenous peoples or indigenous peoples' transitional justice and other related topics.
2.Categories:"Documentary", "Non-documentary" (including Feature films, News features) and "Animation", documentaries should be 15-30 minutes long, non-documentaries should be 10-25 minutes long, and cartoons should be 3-5 minutes.
3.Eligibility: Those with the status of domestic colleges and universities, regardless of subject, department or institute, can participate.

Topic:
The Native Peoples Administration Bureau of New Taipei Municipal Government handles the Introduction of Indigenous Peoples' Industry Leanness and Entrepreneurship Plan - Entrepreneurial Visit and Plan Writing Description.
Note:
To assist and counsel indigenous people in entrepreneurship and the ability to write plans, Handle entrepreneurial visits and plan writing, through on-site visits and mentoring teachers, enhance the entrepreneurial knowledge and skills of ethnic groups.
Activity Method:
(1) Time: May 7th 10 a.m. to 3:
40 p.m.
(2) Location: No. 50, Eighteen Chong Creek, Shijie District, New Taipei City (Firefly Book House).
(3) Recruitment target:
1. Indigenous people over 16 years old who are interested in entrepreneurship or industrial operation (must be registered, enrolled or employed in New Taipei City).
2. The limit is 60 students, including 30 young people (16 to 35 years old).
3. Those who have participated in the program in the past year are not allowed to participate in the course, and the opportunity will be provided to more ethnic groups.

Convey the Indigenous Peoples Rights Handbook published by the Indigenous Peoples Rights in cooperation with the National Human Rights Commission, which is available for download on the website of the Indigenous Peoples Commission.

Topic:The aboriginal class of Pingtung University organized the call for papers for "2023 sikudan na paiwan/International Paiwan Conference masi 'eljangan:Starting from the context of Paiwan knowledge".
Note:
1.In recent years, it has attracted much attention around the world, and various academic fields are cited according to their disciplinary views and interests. However, the construction of indigenous knowledge according to the Western principle of sub-discipline has its lack of subjectivity of knowledge, and the experience and empathy of decontextualized ethnic groups, which has been questioned and doubted, and needs to be deconstructed and reorganized by people from all walks of life. This year's symposium will focus on the context of Paiwan's understanding of the world.

Through the incentive of a competition, students are encouraged to capture the scenes they witness with their own eyes and convey them through photography and written descriptions, with the hope that fellow students can see the beauty of various indigenous ethnic groups.
