International Bachelor Programs Applying for Change of Major

 

International Bachelor Programs application conditions and limitation 

1.  Students who meet any of the following conditions are not eligible to apply for transfer (to another department, program, college, or school): 

(1) Students who have not completed at least one academic year of study. 

(2) Students who have already studied up to the fourth year (senior year). 

(3) Students currently on a leave of absence. 

2. Transfer-related Regulations: 

  (1) Students enrolled in the internal Bachelor’s Program may apply to transfer to other departments within the same college. Each student may apply only once

  (2) Students from the same college may apply to transfer into the internal Bachelor’s Program. 

  (3) The above regulations do not apply to students in the English Program of the College of Management. 

  (4) The admission standards and final decisions are determined by the respective departments within the college.     

Application Process 

 

1.  Within the application period specified on the academic calendar, download both the "Transfer Application Form for the English-Taught Bachelor’s Program" and the "YZU Student Transfer Self-Evaluation and Planning Form" from the transfer website.

2. Attach a transcript of academic records (must include grades and class rank from the most recent semester). 

3. Submit the signed application (approved by the original department’s administrative staff and department chair; no signature is needed from the department being transferred into) to the Registration Section of the Office of Academic Affairs. The Registration Section will forward the application to the intended department for review. 

4. Once a transfer has been approved, it cannot be changed or withdrawn

Important Notes for Students Who Have Been Approved for Transfer: 

1. Course selection must follow the required courses of the new department. 

2. Submit a paper-based credit transfer application form. Only professional courses require a credit transfer process. General education courses such as military training, physical education, and liberal arts do not require credit transfer applications.
